So Much Loss at One Time

I have experienced the sudden death of a friend and a few weeks later my aunt passed away on Resurrection Sunday. Even though I shed tears and my heart is heavy, I have the peace of knowing that they are both in heaven and I will see them again some day. As God lifts up my heart I can still have joy in my time of sorrow. It sounds like an oxymoron, but I can be laughing and singing one minute and shed a tear the next as I feel my loss.

I thank God through my tears for the wonderful time of relationship I had with each one. And, I am reminded to make relationships important with those who are still alive.

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”  Psalm 126:5,6  NKJV
