Is Death Important?

I dreamed I was dying. God gave me examples of the importance of death. A seed must die before it comes back to life to bear fruit. And Jesus died to overcome death so we can have the opportunity to live forever. But, we must die to self before we can have the abundant life God has for us. Some think the abundant life is a life of luxury, but when we abide in Him there is so much more. It is not about us; it is about Him.

In the middle of life’s turmoil, we can find peace when we give up our plans to “fix things” and allow God to take over. It doesn’t mean that we do nothing, but we wait for His voice to tell us what to do. That voice may come quickly through the study of God’s word.

“And he who does not take up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.”
