I received a call from my daughter a couple of days ago. Her expression of panic grabbed me through the phone. I was surprised by my state of calmness. My daughter was exclaiming that sewer was coming into her shower. I knew this wasn’t a good sign. She said what should I do. I said pray; I was serious. She did and then called a plumber. What we found out was that her sewer pipe had holes in it and roots had gotten in and had clogged the flow of water.

Occasionally we have broken areas in our life that bad roots (bitterness, anger, etc.) get in and try to stop God’s living water from flowing in us and through us.

In my daughter’s case, she had two choices, spend a lot of money for a plumbing company to dig up her yard or find the answer from God. God provided a much more economical solution, root killer.

In our spiritual walk, God has already provided the solution by giving us power in authority in Jesus name to get out roots that are preventing us from carrying out our purpose in the Lord. “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;” Mark 16:17.

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,  rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it[b] with thanksgiving.” Col 2:6-7.
