What is a Blockhead?

I was imagining a person with a square head; one who cannot think outside of the box. Then I was thinking how our own rationalization can keep us from all of the things Jesus has promised to give us. The following are just a few of the things He wants us to have, but we don’t receive them. Instead, we stand there with our suspicious looks on our faces because we do not understand His love for us.

• He will swallow up death forever, and wipe away our tears. Isaiah 25:8
• He will heal the brokenhearted. Isaiah 61:1
• He will make our mouths praise instead of being depressed. Isaiah 61:3
• He healed us by His stripes. Isaiah 53:5, I Peter 2:24
• He will help us. Isaiah 41:10
• He becomes the husband to the widow. Isaiah 54:5
• He gives us a redo, or makes us new. II Corinthians 5:17
• He became sin, that we might become righteous. II Corinthians 5:21
• He gives us a fair trial at the judgment. II Corinthians 5:10
• He is the Light of heaven. Revelation 21:23
