Is the Light On or Off?

When we turn on lights we can see clearly. When we turn the lights off it is dark and we can see nothing. When we are in darkness, we are deceived because we cannot see clearly. Jesus warned many times for us to watch and not be deceived. (Luke 221:8) Jesus is the Light, so if we turn Him off we are in darkness and deceived.

“He [John the Baptist] was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light [Jesus] which gives light to every man coming into the world.” John 1:8,9  NKJV

“For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

John 3:20,21  NKJV

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.’”

John 8:12  NKJV
