Are You Running from Grief?

Are You Running from Grief?

When my husband died the number one advice given to me was, “keep busy”. We can become so busy that we do not have time to grieve. We can pack our schedule with so many projects to avoid “thinking” about it; and the result is our busyness postpones grief. We may find ourselves years later wondering why we have not progressed in the healing of our broken heart.

Activity is healthy when it is balanced with a time to rest and grieve. Grieving takes a lot of energy.

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1,4  NKJV
