Disenchanted with God?

Disenchanted with God?

There are people who believed in God at one time and then became disenchanted. One possibility is the fact that when we pray and do not get the exact results that we expect, then we come to the conclusion that God doesn’t care or worse, He doesn’t exist.

For example, one could pray for physical healing. Because they were not healed instantly, doubt and unbelief come into play. But, God may be in the process of healing and is starting with healing on the inside (emotions, soul) and will progress to the outside. We often give up too quickly because God doesn’t respond like we expect.

I have had prayers answered in a completely different way than I expected and it has always been much better than I had asked. We just need to have patience and let God work His perfect will in our lives.

“’For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the LORD. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.’”

Isaiah 55:8,9  NKJV

If we understood everything God does, He wouldn’t be God.
