Enter into His fullness

When my husband was alive, he was on average about thirty pounds overweight, and I was continuously telling him he needed to get into shape.  I would hear the same response every time.  “Round is a shape.”   I think back on these conversations and laugh.

If an item is “round”, it is either round or not. However, there are many shapes of circles. I heard a pastor once say, “God is the great circle, the measureless round ring that encompasses the universe.” We are not expected to be the same magnitude of God, but the same character.

We are expected even during times of trials to continue to measure up.

“ till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—“Ephesians 4:13-15 NKJV
