When someone we love dies of a horrific or premature death, death that causes horror or trauma, our minds tend to accuse God of injustice. However, scripture says otherwise, “For I proclaim the name of the Lord: Ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock; His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.” Deuteronomy 32:3-4 NKJV.

God is faithful and constant to His promises; He is just and truthful. We may not understand the circumstances of the situation. However, we can know that God is sovereign and not the author of death. Scripture tells us so,  “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 NKJV
